Study in India from Bangladesh
India, a vibrant and diverse country in South Asia, is known for its rich cultural heritage, world-class universities, and affordable education system. It shares borders with countries like Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, and China. India gained independence from British rule in 1947 and has since emerged as one of the world’s fastest-growing economies and educational hubs.
With a population of over 1.4 billion, Indian society is a blend of ancient traditions and modern development. English is widely spoken and is the primary language of instruction in higher education — making it a comfortable and accessible destination for international students.
India is becoming an increasingly popular choice for Bangladeshi students due to its low tuition fees, high-quality education, and easy visa process. Every year, thousands of students from Bangladesh choose India for programs such as MBBS, Engineering, Pharmacy, Business, and IT.
Many public and private universities in India offer English-taught Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees recognized globally. Institutions like the University of Delhi, Aligarh Muslim University, and Vellore Institute of Technology are ranked among the top universities in Asia.

India in Brief
Why India for Higher Education?
India shares deep cultural, religious, and linguistic ties with Bangladesh. With a large number of Bangladeshi students already studying in India, newcomers quickly feel welcomed and at home.
International students in India can engage in internships or campus-related work depending on university policy, although formal part-time jobs are limited under student visa rules.
Many universities offer on-campus healthcare services, and international students can access private or government hospitals at low cost with health insurance.
Most Indian universities do not require IELTS scores, and many accept applications without an upfront bank statement — making the process easier for Bangladeshi applicants.
While India doesn’t have a formal post-study work visa, some students may find job or research opportunities after graduation, especially in IT, healthcare, and business sectors.
